File Formats
Focus MP3 Recorder Pro supports 4 formats: MP3, OGG, WMA and WAV.
MP3: A format that creates small sized files at a compressing rate of 1:10 to 1:12 while maintaining satisfactory audio quality.
OGG: A file format similar with Mp3. Compressing rate of OGG is a little bit higher than that of Mp3. So that an OGG file saves up to 38% in disk space than a Mp3 file.
WMA: A format with a high compressing rate 1:18. So a WMA file is only about 50~70% the size of a MP3 file, which effectively reduces disk space for saving. It is of great importance when you need to save a lot of digital audio files on average quality.
WAV: We know that audio CD produces perfect audio quality. When you plan to have a high quality recording, WAV format will be your choice. Quality of WAV audios is the most closely to CD quality. But one thing should be made clear is, the recorded audio will never be as good as the original CD. No matter how hard you tried to filter the noise or improve its effects.
