Tanida demo builder: Exporting flash movies creates and SWF, HTML and JavaScript file to publish movies on Internet
|
File Formats
Demo Builder allows you to export movies in four formats:
- Flash Movie:
Exporting a Flash Movie actually creates 3 separate files: a SWF file, a HTML file and a file called ieupdate.js. The SWF (Flash) file is your actual movie, the HTML file is a web page that will display your movie, and the ieupdate.js file fixed a bug in Internet Explorer. Once you export in Flash Movie format, you should upload all 3 files to your web server, thus publishing your movie to the internet.
- SWF
File Name: Enter flash(.swf) movie file name. You do not need to include the filename extension (.swf).
- HTML
Export HTML: This option exports the HTML code necessary to add a Flash(.swf) file to a web page.
File Name : Enter html file name. You do not need to include the filename extension (.html). Click the 3 dots ('...') to the right of the HTML file name area to edit the HTML content. You are free to edit the HTML content however you see fit (to display the movie within a custom HTML web page of your choosing). However, the HTML file contains the following special code that should not be altered:
- <% MOVIE NAME%> - Your Movie's Name
- <% MOVIE WIDTH%> - Your Movie's Width
- <% MOVIE HEIGHT%> - Your Movie's Height
- <% MOVIE SWF FILENAME%> - Your Movie's SWF (Flash File) Filename
- Note: it is important to also upload the ieupdate.js file to your web server when uploading the SWF and HTML files, if your movie is to be played in Internet Explorer browser. The reason is because there exists a bug in Internet Explorer that this file fixes. Uploading the ieupdate.js file ensures that your movies will play without problems in all major browsers.
- Learning Management System
DemoBuilder is fully compliant with SCORM 1.2/2004 and AICC Learning Management Systems.

- Standalone
Exporting a Standalone movie creates an executable file that can be run as a stand-alone file on a Windows, Linux or Macintosh computer.
