Recording

There are two methods available to make a recording: Taking Screenshots and Full Motion Recording. When using the Taking Screenshots method, Demo Builder captures images only when a change occurs on the screen you are recording. You have the option of also manually forcing a screenshot, but other than that, there are relatively few screenshots needed to make a recording using this method. When finished recording, you go into edit mode and can include notes, balloons, cursor movements and images on each screenshot. Each screenshot can remain open or active for as long as you want, making sure all activity on that screenshot has time to perform.

When using the Full Motion Recording method, Demo Builder continually takes screenshots at pre-set intervals (anywhere from 1 to 20 frames per second), resulting in a much smoother presentation.

Full Motion Recording : Recommended for applications where changes in the screen happen quickly, and for instances where you want to capture such things as drag and drop, screen resizing, animated GIFs, or even full motion movies. The result is a more fluid presentation, but the resulting file size can be quite large.

Taking Screenshots: Recommended for applications where full motion recording is not needed. The screenshot method results in very small file sizes that open quickly. You still get the full effect of a video presentation, since cursor movements, and notes/balloons appearing/disappearing at certain times works quite well.
