Rectangle
How to insert a Rectangle in your movie scene :
- From the Objects column, select Shapes...(ensure that the rectangle icon is visible. If Ellipse icon is visible, left-click and hold. This displays two options; Rectangle and Ellipse. Select Rectangle.
- Move cursor to active scene in editing window and left click to place Shape.
- Your first shape is added to the movie's scene and should appear in your Timeline with default Shape name. (Example Shape 1, Shape 2...)
- You can reposition, resize and rename the Shape using the property Panel above the editing window.
Rectangle's property panel

- Name: The default name for the Shape Object is Shape 1, Shape 2, Shape 3, and so on, as visible in the name property and in the Timeline in order of when inserted into the movie. You can change these to names of your choosing by simply deleting default name and typing your chosen name. Ensure the correct Shape Object is selected before changing name property.
- Style: The style property allows you to change the appearance of the Shape. For Rectangle shapes: Check the box Apply To All Rectangles at the bottom of the style properties menu to apply chosen style to all Rectangles in all scenes in the movie.

- Border Color Determines the color for the Rectangle's edges.
- Border Width changes the thickness of the Rectangle's edges.
- Fill Color Used to specify a color for the Rectangle.
- Fill Opacity adjusts the brightness of the chosen color.
- Fill Outer Area allows you to fill the "outside" of the rectangle with the fill color, instead of the inside of the rectangle.
