Backup & Restore
How to backup the note database?
NotesHolder has an automatic multiple backup mechanism that nearly rules out the possibility of losing your data due to the software failure. Though if this is not enough, you can make a backup copy of the note database yourself. To do this you must just make a backup copy of the file the full path to which you can see in the dialog "Settings" in the "Notes Database" field on the tab "Database".
Notes Database Restore Dialog
You can use the Database Restore dialog box to search for undamaged note database backup copies on the hard drive of your computer and to restore them. To open the Database Restore dialog box, open NotesHolder Settings and click the Database\Database Restore button.
Working with the Database Restore dialog box.
Right after you open the dialog box, NotesHolder starts searching the hard drives of your computer for all undamaged NotesHolder databases. The 4 columns of the list show the following information:
- Time Modified - the date when the file was last modified.
- File Name - the full name of the found database file.
- Categories - the number of note categories in the file.
