Frame Settings
In the Frame Settings dialog you can edit the settings used by gPhotoShow to display frames around images. Basically a frame can be a simple colored border around images or can be a bitmapped image.
Border Size
In these text boxes you can enter the size of the colored borders. Border sizes will be used only for colored frames not for bitmapped ones.
Frame Type
Frames can be of three different types: with border color set manually, with border color automatically chosen, with a bitmapped image.
Always use this color:
If selected gPhotoShow will use for the frame the color set with the control on the left
Automatically choose a color based on image:
If selected gPhotoShow will automatically choose the color frame. Available choices for automatic selection are:
- Similar to image color: gPhotoShow will choose a color similar to the overall image color. For example if a picture contains a big area of blue sky gPhotoShow will choose a blue shade.
- Opposite to image color: gPhotoShow will choose a color that will contrast the overall image color. For example if a picture contains a big area of blue sky gPhotoShow will choose a yellow shade (yellow is complementary color of blue).
- Black/White, similar to image tone: gPhotoShow will choose a gray shade similar to the overall image lightness. For example if a picture is very light gPhotoShow will choose a light gray.
- Black/White, opposite to image tone: gPhotoShow will choose a gray shade opposite to the overall image lightness. For example if a picture is very light gPhotoShow will choose a dark gray.
Use these bitmapped frames:
If selected gPhotoShow will use a bitmapped image as a frame. In this case you can choose which frames will be used by gPhotoShow. In the list you will see all available frames, by clicking on the checkbox on the left of every row you can enable/disable that frame. If the "Preview" checkbox is selected a preview of the current frame will be shown.
Use Frame color as background color
If selected gPhotoShow will use frame color also for the background
