Show file info
If selected gPhotoShow shows the file name of the current sound. In addition you can choose how the file is shown:

File Name Only: Displays only the file name without path

Full Path: Displays the file name complete with path and extension

Folder + File Name: Displays the file name and the folder that contains it. For example if full path name is "c:\my sounds\disk1\song1.mp3" with this option "disk1 - song1" will be displayed.

Folder Name Only: Displays only the folder name

ID3 Info: Displays ID3 information contained in the music files. ID3 info can be read only from MP3 and WMA files. This setting works only when gPhotoShow runs on Windows XP

Choose sound files randomly
If selected gPhotoShow plays sound files randomly, if not selected sound files are played sequentially, in alphabetical order

Restart play from last file played
If selected gPhotoShow saves the index of the last file played, in this way when it restarts it begins from the next file instead of to start playing from the beginning

Sound/Music initially paused
If enabled, when the slide show starts, sounds and music are disabled, they can be enabled with a configured key or by an appropriate image property

Pause Sounds while playing video
If enabled gPhotoShow will stop sounds and music playing while video and animations are being played

Stop Sounds when monitor Off
If enable sounds and music are stopped when Monitor is switched off

Play sound and music files using
Select here the device to use to play sound and music files. Available choices are:

Media Player : gPhotoShow uses the Microsoft Media Player ActiveX. This is usually the best choice, but on some systems where Media Player ActiveX is not installed correctly or the system registry is damaged you can experience errors and program crashes.

Windows MCI: gPhotoShow uses the windows Media Control Interface, a standard method to play multimedia files. This method work rather well but some mpeg players makes damages to the MCI settings in registry and when this happens MCI is not able to play MP3 anymore.

WinAmp: if installed, gPhotoShow uses WinAmp. If you are using WinAmp 3 you need to download and install the plugin "Winamp 2x Plugin Manager", This PlugIn can be found on the WinAmp web site (http://www.winamp.com). gPhotoShow has been tested with WinAmp 2.91 and and WinAmp 3.0. Because WinAmp is a third party software there is no guarantee that gPhotoShow will continue to work with future releases of WinAmp.

iTunes: if installed, gPhotoShow uses Apple iTunes

If the option you selected is not available gPhotoShow will automatically use another option. To check errors you must enable error logging and see the log file.

Attention:
Some music files can contain internet links that will cause Microsoft Media Player (and gPhotoShow) to access to internet. This is not a gPhotoShow failure or security hole but it is only due to the files it is playing. The files are played by Media Player not by gPhotoShow directly so gPhotoShow hasn't any control on what is happening. If you don't wish to have internet connections during the screen saver carefully check all the audio files played by gPhotoShow.
