The options in the System Settings section duplicates the windows control panel settings. Settings done in this window will be applied to the system only when gPhotoShow settings are saved to the system registry (ie. settings are saved for the screen saver), this can happens in three cases:
Screen Saver Wait Time
Specifies how much idle time must elapse before the screen saver is started. If Wait time is 0 system configuration will not be changed !
Logon Screen Saver
Logon screen saver is started by windows when it is idle waiting for a user to log on. By clicking on the button "Set gPhotoShow & Save" current configuration is saved and gPhotoShow is set as logon screen saver. If the screen saver wait time field is not 0 it will be used for the logon screen saver.
To restore the default screen saver (the one you had before setting gPhotoShow) click on the button "Restore Default"
To change logon settings on Windows 2000 and XP you must be logged with a user that has Administrative privileges, if you are logged with a limited user the operation will fail.
If you are running gPhotoShow on Windows Vista the system will ask your authorization before doing any change.
GSS File Protection
If gss file protection is enabled you must enter a password and a verification password. Gss file will be encrypted using the given password and every time this file is loaded (to modify or display it) a password will be requested by gPhotoShow. Without the correct password it will not be possible to load the file
