Advanced Compression Settings
Windows Media Encoding technology has a Time Compression tool, which can reduce the time it takes to play back encoded content. You can decelerate the content up to 50 percent and accelerate up to 250 percent. Adjusting the acceleration has no effect on the pitch of the audio stream.
Also pauses in speech or action can be detected and removed. Any segments that are removed are listed in a log file.
The DV audio option is used when encoding directly from a digital device. Enables you to specify the digital-audio recording mode, either 12- or 16-bit, which is used on your device. This setting must match the setting on your digital device or the quality of the encoded audio will be poor.
Identification name of this encoder. Differentiates encoders when you have multiple instances running on the same computer. An encoder name is assigned automatically, but you can edit the name if necessary. Maximum Windows Media packet size. Specifies the size in bytes of User Datagram Protocol (UDP) packets that stream across the network. This setting should be used with single-bit-rate profiles only.
