Site Manager Overview
Site Manager is a standalone component that helps to structure your site, check links site wide and upload files to the remote server. It provides an easy-to-use interface with a local site pane and a remote site pane. The local site pane displays all the files stored under the defined root folder. You can add, delete, remove and rename files here. You can also double click a file to open it in the default editor. The remote site pane displays all the files that have been uploaded to the web server. It can also show the site map (a hierarchical structure of the whole site starting from the index page).

Define Site
Users can change information of any existing site or create new sites by using this command.
Steps:
- Choose "Site/Define Site" or "Site/Open Site/Define Site" command or click the Define Site icon on the toolbar to open the Define Site dialog box

- The box on the left column of the dialog lists all the existing sites. Click to select a site
New: click this button to create a new site.
Edit: click this button to edit the information of a selected site
Duplicate: click this button to create a copy of a selected site. The default site name is name of the original site plus Copy. The copied site shares the same information on local folder, web server and index page with the original site. The duplication function is timesaving when you want to create a new site that share much in common with an existing site. You can then change information of the copied site by selecting it and pressing the Edit button.
Delete: click this button to delete a selected site
- Click Done
Open Site
Users can open existing sites by using the "Site/Open Site" command. The existing sites are shown in the site list. The site that is currently opened will be marked out. Click a site name to open it.

Import Sites
Sothink HTML Editor provides ten carefully designed web page templates. Users can import these templates and edit them according to specific needs. Templates can be imported into a new site or an existing site.
- If you want to import a template into a new site, choose "Site/New Site" to open the dialog box. Enter information about site name and local site folder. Then click the "Import site from template" tab at the bottom; If you want to import a template into an existing site, choose "Site/Define Site", select the site in the list, press Edit button and then click "Import Site from Template" tab
- A preview window will appear in which you can view any template selected. Each template has a different style. Click the Catalog list on the top left to select a type from the drop-down list. Select a template from the "Template Name" drop-down list on the top right. The list contains all the templates belonging to the same category. When you select a template in the drop-down menu, the index page of the template will be shown in the preview window. You can click the links on the page to view other pages belonging to the same template.
- Click Import button on the top right when you find the preferred template
- Click OK to close the Site Definition dialog box (if you create a new site)
- A progress bar appears, indicating all the files in the template are being imported into the defined local root folder. When it finishes, the files and folders imported will be shown in the local site pane. Image files will be stored in the "Image" folder.
Check Links
The link checking utility in Site Manager can check links in specified files and folders or the entire site. It checks only links and references to documents within the site. External links will be listed after the checking process without being verified.
Steps:
- Choose "Site/Check Links" command and then choose "Selected Files/Folders" (if you have selected some files or folders) or "Entire Site". Sothink HTML Editor will start checking the links.
- After Sothink HTML Editor finishes the checking process, a Link Checker box will appear, displaying a list of the checked results including Broken Links, External Links and Orphaned Links. You can select an appropriate item from the Show pop-up menu to view details.

Broken Links: the files these links refer to can not be found in the local site
External Links: links that refer to documents outside the local site
Orphaned files: files that are not linked in the local site
