Add Widget into Page
Choose a Widget Template
- After you install the widget tools, Sothink HTML Editor will show them at the "Tools Panel" and group them according their types: e.g."Java Applet, JavaScript, DHTML".
- Clicking the type's name, e.g. "Java Applet", you will see the Java Widget Tools you installed: e.g. "Sothink CoolMenu, Sothink SlidingMenu ... ";
- Click the Tools' name button and its templates will display in the template list. Click one template and right-click to show the pop-up menu. You will see there are four command in this menu. Choose the preview command to preview this template.

- After seeing the templates, please choose one you like.
Add Widgets
There are three ways to help you to add widget into web page. We recommend users to add widget in HTML window.
- Put cursor in the place you want to insert widget; Right-click and choose "Insert into page" from the pop-up menu.
- Put cursor in the place you want to insert widget; Double-click one template to insert the code.
- Click the template and keep mouse into the HTML window. The widget will be dragged to the place where the cursor is (This operation is only valid in HTML Window ).
The added widget will show in the "widgets box" on widget bar:

Import Widget into Page
Before you import a widget, please make sure this widget has already been done in your computer.
Steps:
- Put cursor in the place you want to insert widget;
- Use the command "Widget/Import Widget..." or click the icon
;
- Choose the widget file (*.pgt) from your local disk;
- Click "OK" button to finish importing widget.
- The imported widget will show in the "widgets box" on toolbar;

Save Widget
Before you add a widget into your page, Sothink HTML Editor will request you to save the page firstly;
When you insert a widget, Sothink HTML Editor will automatically to create a "_pgtres" folder to save it. This folder is under the directory that this page is saved. The widget file and the image/audio files used in this widget are all save in this folder.
Save Widgets As Template
You also can save a widget as template. Then next time, you can add it into page from template list directly.
Steps:
- Select the widget you want to save as template;
- Click the icon on "Widgets Bar" or use the command "Widget/Save as Template" to open the "Save as Template" box;

- Give this template name and description;
- Click ok button to add this new template. The new template will appear in the template list.
Rename
- The widget's name is default. You can use rename command to give it a name you like.
- Select the widget;

- Use "Widget/Rename..." command to open the rename box ;
- Give the new name and description;
- Click "OK". This widget is renamed.
Delete Widget
(This operation is only valid in HTML Window. )
Delete
When you do not want to use the widget in the page, you can delete it from the page.
Steps:
- Select the widget;

- Use the "Widget/Delete"<Ctrl+Del> command or click the
button on the widget bar;
- A box will pop-up to make sure of your operation. Click "Yes" to finish the delete.
